Quality Engineer

I have a 5 month long contract job with a manufacturing company located in Beloit, WI.

Summary
Provide quality assurance and related technical expertise to ensure high quality components are produced for an R&D prototype engine.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in team meetings to learn the product and report status of assigned activities. Must also learn project timeline for planning assigned activities.
Work with R&D engineers to collaboratively define all prototype engine component inspection requirements. This includes first article and engine development related information.
Develop inspection execution strategy for each part per inspection requirements. This would include utilizing the manufacturer supplier, FME QC department/equipment, and/or external inspection sources. Providing timeline input per the strategy is required.
Perform external quality system auditing and assist with adding suppliers to our Approved Supplier List.
Execute inspection strategy as planned to maintain the project build schedule, including reviewing and approving inspection data.
Manage all information and organize within project database.
Drive resolution of non-conformances with implement sustainable corrective actions internally and externally. This may include leading root cause analysis activities.


Qualifications and Educational Requirements
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality programs with a strong emphasis on production process control and corrective action.
Possess a high degree of problem-solving skills through application of basic quality tools.
Possess demonstrated communication skills including verbal and technical report writing.
Action-oriented with ability to establish working relationship with people at all levels, internally and externally
Proficient in Windows and MS Office applications.
B.S. degree in a technical curriculum with current ASQ certification is strongly desired.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
