Job Description
This position reports to the Commercial Finance Manager for Beverage and is located at the Americas Headquarters in Southern WI. This role focuses on business leader support, financial management and margin optimization through analysis of the various measures/dimensions/strategies. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills, enjoy challenging face to face meetings with the ability to build trust, confidence and relationships.
Responsibilities
Key resource to business unit general manager/leader in development of business strategies including marketing, selling, and profitability improvement.
Forecasting, Budgeting and Monthly Reporting responsibility for business along with communication to the business team.
Support executive and leadership meeting agendas including presentation material, analyses and support.
Understand market trends, dynamics, price/volume trends and outlooks in order to recommend actions that lead to profitable growth.
Support sales/marketing with analysis aimed at customer retention, pricing, business at risk, new business and business lost impacts
Manage new business pipeline reporting and assess impact of new opportunities on the business portfolio.
Development of pricing strategies and management of price increase process
Assess key commodity markets risk and the impact on pricing.
Determine, validate and communicate quotes, credits and pricing to business teams
Evaluate customer incentive plans (rebates and trade promotions) both in advance of offering and subsequent to the implementation.
Lead cross functional teams to ensure margin optimization through proper management of deductions, price variances, and successful resolution of claims.
On-going margin analysis, root cause categorization, opportunity identification and implementation of corrective actions to optimize margin and mitigate risk.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish KPI targets and to provide variance analysis.
Support and lead cost reduction teams aimed at reducing cost of raw materials, packaging or plant costs.
Work with plants to ensure proper margin reporting as well as corrective actions to enhance margin (cost, inventory, productivity, allocation).
Proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives to deliver value (price and cost)
Support activity for the broader beverage group in order to gain understanding and knowledge of other businesses in the portfolio
Education, Experience & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in accounting/finance or related area
2 or more years of professional experience, either in a plant or commercial finance
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build and maintain relationships and communicate professionally to all levels of an organization
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work as part of a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (MS Project desirable)
Proficiency working with ERP systems, business intelligence systems, CRM systems and Pricing systems
