As a Food Preparation Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
You will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and supporting the overall operations of our food service establishment.
Responsibilities - Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, such as washing, peeling, and chopping fruits and vegetables - Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes - Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to prevent contamination - Prepare simple dishes, such as salads, sandwiches, and soups - Set up and stock food stations with necessary supplies - Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes - Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and checking expiration dates - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow - Follow all health and safety regulations Requirements - Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred - Knowledge of basic food handling and safety practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays - Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) - Basic knife skills for food preparation If you are passionate about food and have a desire to contribute to a positive dining experience for our customers, we encourage you to apply for the Food Preparation Worker position.
