WHO WE ARE The Ironworks Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel located on the banks of the Rock River in downtown Beloit.
The hotel is home to one of the area's best restaurants, Merrill and Houston's Steak Joint, and is within walking distance of many other area attractions and night life.

WHO YOU ARE Often a guest's first impression of a property is the result of the Guest Services Representative's skills and abilities.
You will provide a variety of guest services while working in the lobby or reception areas of the hotel.
The position is challenging, varied and offers the opportunity to work flexible hours and to meet many new people.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Process guest arrivals and departures, including all necessary payments Handle & coordinate room assignments and pre-arrivals Handle guests' concerns Offer referral for services and handle requests for information Handle and store luggage Assist with the check-in and check-out of groups and tours Assist other departments as required Perform other duties as assignedAn individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.

Perform general office duties such as answering the telephone, filing, copying, sorting/opening incoming mail, and preparing items for mailing.
Requirements WHAT WE NEED Education - High school diploma or equivalent Experience and/or Training Excellent communication skills and professional attitude Effective conflict management and decision making Technology/Equipment - Ability to use a variety of computer applications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience and/or Training - Previous experience in customer service PHYSICAL and MENTAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
The employee is frequently required to stand, and/or walk.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other department of the hotel on a timely basis, including stairs.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while moving files or small packages.
This position is also subject to irregular hours to include late nights, weekends and holidays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is in a hotel environment; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Individuals must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations as well as being able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
