Responsibilities:
Support, guide, and coach management in the handling of labor relations issues, contract compliance/administration, grievance cases, arbitrations, and familiarity of local, state, and federal regulations regarding employment Conduct internal investigations of alleged employment/contract violations while ensuring that investigations are conducted in a fair, impartial, thorough, thoughtful, and timely manner as well as in compliance with US laws and regulations including Company policies/procedures and contract compliance; provide concise summary of above Actively involved with union organizing campaigns, including on-site/hands-on campaigning, persuading, interacting/working with employees in their workspace while legally supporting the company's position Prepare case exhibits and conduct and/or participate in settlement discussions or hearings Administrative processing/recording-keeping of daily Labor Relations inquires/incidents.
Participate and/or prepare informational training programs regarding union related topics, such as do's and don'ts, best practices, etc.
, handbooks/manuals, data analytic reports Assigned various labor relations projects, from inception to completion.
Wage rate analytics/monitoring to help ensure competitive market rates are maintained in various markets throughout the US Potential exposure to collective bargaining.
Skills and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business from an accredited university 5
years' experience in a corporate human resources function 3
years' experience supporting labor relations within a unionized environment Ability to articulate complex solutions to issues to Branch Management, Senior Leaders throughout the organization, and occasionally bargaining unit employees Highly adept at reading people, understanding their psyche, while quick at adapting to varying personalities while simultaneously getting results during both individual and group interactions Possess project management skills and be able to translate those skills in presentation form via written/verbal with varying styles ranging from executive summaries to frontline employee communication.
Strong demonstrative use of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and adept at learning various software Strong writing skills, including business letters/correspondence, concise summaries, written presentations, etc.
Strong at research gathering & analytics using various internal databases, internet, & social media platforms Ability to work in emotionally-charged situations while maintaining professional demeanor and represent the organization and Company professionally at all times Benefits may include:
